Award-winning magician Robert K. Miller offers six different, wonder-full, 45-minute programs throughout the Chicago metro area. In particular, DINOmagic, MOVIEmagic and READINGmagic are specially designed to engage preschool through fourth grade, and encourage them to explore their world. This is family entertainment which they will long remember.
Each magic show is well suited for libraries, child care centers, schools, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, community centers, park districts, churches, temples and social service organizations such as American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis and Optimists. The "Age of the Dinosaurs" is alive and exciting in Chicagoland! This unique magic show combines children's timeless fascination with dinosaurs -- and magic.
The goal, of course, is to fan the spark of science in some, and to awaken the interest in others. Children laugh at the surprises, are astounded by the mysteries, participate in the action and learn some things about dinosaurs along the way. They even help take part in making the magic happen.
Mostly, though, it's a lot of fun! At the end, a 21-inch Tyrannosaurus rex magically appears.
MOVIEmagic is an imaginative program which blends movies and magic. It takes the audience through the steps in making a motion picture. And, it is all explained through magic.
In READINGmagic, the young people are guided on a virtual tour through the library. They learn how to take advantage of the library's many special areas of science, fairy tales, animals, hobbies, fantasy, and more. Each is illustrated by dazzling magic.

Tricks Are Treats: Halloween is synonymous with mystery. This program uses appropriate symbols, props and stories. It's not scary, just a good time!
Holiday Hocus Pocus: December is a magical month. This show has seasonal characters and situations.
Miracles By Appointment: This is a "traditional" program without a central theme, yet the magic is far from ordinary. AH-mazing!

My programs encourage young people to read. Why? This is where I began my magic career ... at the public library! I tell youngsters that they can even become magicians by checking out books, just as I did when I was in grade school. Since then, I have performed for thousands of children. "You can find out about magic, dinosaurs, movies and anything else, right here in your library."
It's not a lecture, though. This is a time for fun and surprises, a chance to laugh, to wonder at the mystery, to take part in the magic, to be astounded, and to learn.
